The HARTING Technology Group turns 65
to overview
At the HARTING Technology Group tradition is embodied by the values of a “family owned and managed company“ and the clear commitment to the company’s location. While HARTING is consistently pursuing a course of internationalization and employs more than 3,000 members of staff at its 32 local subsidiaries across the globe, the Espelkamp region is and remains the company’s headquarters. This is also reflected by the recent investments in the new facilities in Rahden. This site now ranks as the seventh HARTING plant in the region. Following in the footsteps of the proprietors Dietmar und Margrit Harting, the third generation – Philip Harting und Maresa Harting-Hertz – are now actively involved in shaping the course of the family owned and managed company.
New thinking is determining the current development of the Technology Group and stands for genuine innovations that always pursue one clearly defined objective: “We want to create values for people.“ Innovations have also been decisive in advancing the successful development of the company. The Han® (HARTING Norm) connector marked an initial milestone. Registered as a trademark in 1957, the connector embarked on a triumphant march around the globe – and ranks as an international standard today. Han-Modular® is another example. This connector system enables users to specify their individually tailored connectors based on a multitude of modules – also with the help of an online configurator on the Internet. Recent innovations such as Ha-VIS preLink®, an all-new installation concept for data network cabling that is also suitable for bandwidths of up to 10 Gigabit, and Han-Yellock®, blending revolutionary connector technology with aesthetic design, impressively underscore the innovative strengths of the HARTING Technology Group and clearly point to a successful future.
