HARTING does MINT
More women in technical jobs - we follow this ambition actively and joined the pact „Komm mach MINT“.
The pact is a wide confederation of economy, scholarship, politic and media, who want to motivate young women to study one of the so-called „MINT-academics“ – mathematic, informatics, natural sciences and technics. Through the initiative of the Secretary of Education Annette Schavan the national pact started last year.
We joined because:
„Women are clever, social competent and motivated. A lot of women have the right requirements for “MINT-jobs”, but they are still very underrepresented. We at HARTING technology-group have already discovered the potential of women in natural scientific and technical sectors. For this reason, we cooperate with schools and universities and engage us, to enthuse women and girls for technical careers.
“Komm mach MINT" speaks from our soul. The accedence of the MINT-pact is a good chance to bunch interests and sustain as well as expend our engagement through the network of the MINT-partners. Together we can work more successful on our target to use and support the special potentials of women in natural scientific and technical domains – so that we at HARTING can look forward to more female junior staffs.”.
