Mechanical Tests

Components, devices and other technical products are subjected to rotating, pulsing or oscillating forces, vibrations or individual shocks when being transported or used; these can lead to component failure.

Test system for vibration and shock loads

Vibration test benches are predominantly used in automotive and rail technology for the development and series testing of components.

On the test bench, the components to be tested are stimulated with a clearly defined path, force, speed or acceleration. Typical test items include engine bearers, shock absorbers, wheel suspensions, exhaust systems, seats and steering assembly parts. The response to the stimulation is measured and recorded via various analog sensors. At the same time, limit values are monitored.

Connectors deployed in automotive and industrial areas must meet stringent requirements. Complex test series to prove contact safety are carried out under defined climatic conditions.

During the vibration or shock load, contact separations and resistance changes in the nanosecond range can be registered on electronic parts.
