The new preLink® RJ45 features an optimised design

The Ethernet protocol has become the most important communication standard for the industrial automation of the future. Rising transmission rates and the trend towards miniaturisation call for new approaches in data infrastructure. The new and space-saving Physical Layer Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) is also conquering the last areas of the field level. The combination of IP-based communication and smart sensor technology holds the potential to redefine the automation pyramid. The declared aim: A consistent language from the sensor to the cloud. We are offering Ethernet users the right infrastructure for this step: proven Industrial Ethernet solutions, new interfaces for miniaturised devices or SPE for smart applications at the field level.

Increasing energy efficiency is relevant for all areas of industry, while the trend towards resource conservation likewise represents a technology driver in the energy infrastructure sector.
Safe and fault-free connection technology for modular battery storage systems features as one of the key topics in the "All for Energy“ and enables the time-delayed and on-demand use of regenerative energies. The use of connectors not only facilitates and speeds up the construction of modular storage, but also makes handling a great deal safer.
Data centres are also a key focus area here because their energy demand trends upwards with increasing use and meanwhile accounts for a considerable part of the global electricity demand. Boosting the energy efficiency of this infrastructure is essential here - to which new connectivity solutions can make significant contributions
