How HARTING Remains Operational During COVID-19 Pandemic

Alert: “In the Region, for the Region“ Production and Identical Manufacturing Worldwide

April 2, 2020 –

The COVID-19 virus has caused unprecedented supply chain and production delays on a global scale.  More than ever localized, in-the-region, for-the-region production and identical manufacturing globally is critical to ensuring stability and supporting the modern world.

HARTING reassured its customers and global partners that the company has taken every precaution and continues to maintain global operations with its in the region for the region long standing strategy during the COVID-19 pandemic. The company is carefully monitoring the situation and adjusting to remain a reliable supplier of connectivity solutions worldwide.

At local levels, HARTING’s manufacturing processes are agile enough to support the constantly shifting priorities of local customers. In Germany, HARTING has aligned its internal processes to prioritize supplies to medical device manufacturers so they receive critical products as quickly as possible.  In the US, HARTING has implemented precautionary measures to reduce the risk of spread so their production facility can continue supporting critical industries, such as Energy and Data Centers.

“Protecting our people as well as supporting our customers who keep the world powered on are our top priorities,” said Jon DeSouza, President & CEO of HARTING Americas,  “HARTING’s principals and processes has made it possible for us to remain operational and able to support our customers on a local and global scale.”

HARTING Americas has also worked closely with its distribution channel partners to ensure that their products are fully stocked and available.  The HARTING Americas team is also proactively monitoring transit times.

HARTING Americas made clear that they are taking every precaution to protect their employees.  They have introduced precautionary measures including air travel restrictions, restriction of visitor access to business critical individuals, telecommute work when possible and implementation of additional preventive health measures.

We are continuing to monitor the situation, current updates can be found on our COVID-19 page
