51 junior employees choose HARTING as their career partner
51 trainees and dual students have started working for the HARTING Technology Group. Two of them come from Vietnam to complete a dual course of study in mechanical engineering in Germany. In total, the technology group is thus training more than 130 trainees and students in more than 25 apprenticeships and dual study courses.
The "newcomers" met for the first time in June. At the Welcome Day of the HARTING Technology Group, the junior employees and their relatives got to know the company. In the first week of training in August, they then completed a structured introductory program with information events, training courses and safety briefings. Together, the trainees and students explored the plants in Espelkamp and Rahden. The end of the week was a joint farmer's golf game in the Rose inn.
The 51 trainees will begin their careers in 20 apprenticeships and courses of study – from mechatronics and mechanical engineering to industrial engineering, IT and warehouse logistics. In his welcome address, training manager Nico Gottlieb underlined the great importance of digitization and internationalisation in the promotion of young talent. A special example of this is a new program with which HARTING is breaking new ground: The Technology Group is the only company in Germany to date to enable young people from Vietnam to start a dual course of study in mechanical engineering: Quoc Bao Bui and Minh Quang Nguyen are completing their studies in cooperation with the Private University of Applied Sciences (PHWT) Diepholz-Vechta-Oldenburg. HARTING is thus expanding its partnership with the university, which has been in place since 2013, with an innovative international component and sending a strong signal for the global orientation of education.
