HARTING organises action week on occupational safety

The German Employers' Liability Insurance Association for Energy, Textile, Electrical and Media Products (BG ETEM) has stopped by HARTING. She brought the occupational safety action week to Espelkamp with a training vehicle and met with great interest from the employees of the Technology Group.

In the training car, BG ETEM offered various training courses that closely linked theory and practice. The participants received basic information, for example, on professional machine procurement, the safe handling of hazardous substances and transport and load securing. Using practical examples, the experts showed the forces at work during transport and the risks that can arise from inadequately secured goods. Employees learned to recognize potential hazards at an early stage and to consistently implement safety measures in their everyday work.

"We want to make occupational safety tangible and convey it in a practical way," explains Andreas Lehmann, representative of the employers' liability insurance association. "The direct exchange on site and the concrete training sessions help to strengthen safety awareness in the long term."

More than 600 HARTING employees took the opportunity to take part in the practical training courses. "Occupational safety thrives on participation," says Dr. Stephan Middelkamp, General Manager Quality & Technologies at HARTING. "Each individual contributes to reducing risks and creating a safe working environment. The great response to the action week is a strong sign of this."
