Getting off to a successful start: testimonials from our students

»

"I've been working as a student trainee at HARTING for over three years. It all started with an unsolicited application for a nine-week compulsory internship during my Bachelor's degree in Communication Management. The internship developed into a working student position in the CCB department, which continues to this day in my Master's programme. I was warmly welcomed into the department right from the start. My colleagues placed their trust in me and quickly enabled me to work independently. This friendly and motivating working environment is the perfect complement to my studies, allowing me to apply what I have learnt."

“My start at HARTING began with an exciting internship semester, followed by the opportunity to write my Bachelor's thesis at the company. After successfully completing my thesis, I was offered the chance to take part in the trainee program. I was particularly excited by the prospect of working in a family-run company that places great value on personal and professional development. This support was crucial for me and has shaped my path at HARTING.”

Application tips for students

Have you found the right working student job, internship or a topic for your thesis on our job board ? Then only one thing is missing: your application!

To make sure you are well informed, we have compiled our FAQ with the most important questions and answers about the application process. Below you will also find some answers regarding your application as a student at HARTING.

Don't worry: we won't sort you in or out according to your grades. Instead, we would like to know what topics you have covered in your studies so far and what you have focussed on. That way, we can offer you a place in a team that can benefit from your knowledge.

No. If you would like to write your thesis with us, we can also decide on the topic together, taking into account, for example, your specialisations from a previous internship or the requirements of your professor.

To ensure that you can work with us during your desired period, you should apply at least three months in advance. If you want to be on the safe side, you can also apply up to six months in advance.

We value your commitment and therefore offer you fair remuneration.
Internships and theses: 850€/month

Further tips for work students

The duration of the assignment should be at least six months or preferably one year. As a rule, working students work a minimum of eight hours and a maximum of 20 hours a week. Don't worry: we also prioritise your studies. This means that you can of course work less during the examination phase by prior arrangement. During the lecture-free period, working students can also work more than the otherwise permitted 20 hours per week.

This depends entirely on your current lecture schedule. We are happy to be flexible here, but fixed times or days during the semester have proved successful.
