Plug-in cables for the SIMATIC MICRO-DRIVE servo drive system
For the new SIMATIC MICRO-DRIVE servo drive system, HARTING offers the proper plug-in cable product that can be perfectly combined with Dunker or ebm-papst motors. The choice of the correct plug-in cable depends on the type of application. HARTING's plug-in cables are available in different versions, each of which has its own advantages. Our connection technology efficiently supplies your systems with data, signals and power. These products are suitable for both demanding and simple industrial applications.
Demanding industrial applications
The product line for demanding industrial applications consists of plug-in cables which can be exposed to high mechanical stress in very flexible applications and involve guided forced movement in power supply chains. This is suitable as a control cable in export-oriented machine/facility construction applications (according to VDE, UL and CSA standards). It is perfect for use in dry, damp or wet rooms – but not outdoors. The high shielding density and, when necessary, additional individual shields ensure the interference-free transmission of signals.
Very flexible
Suitable for drag chains
Oil resistance according to DIN EN 60811-404
UL/CSA listed components
Halogen-free (PUR or comparable)
No silicone
Flame retardant according to IEC 60332-1
Temperature range
non-moving: -40°C to +80°C
moving: -25°C to +80°C
Simple industrial applications
For simple industrial applications, we provide plug-in cables which are used for flexible applications with medium mechanical stress, involving free movement without tensile stress and without guided forced movement. This solution is suitable for use as a control cable for machine/facility construction or as a signal cable in electronics. It is perfect for use in dry, damp or wet rooms – but not outdoors. The high shielding density and, when necessary, additional individual shields ensure the interference-free transmission of signals.
Flexible
Good resistance to oil
No silicone
PVC sheathing
Flame retardant according to IEC 60332-1
Temperature range
non-moving: -30°C to +80°C
moving: -5°C to +80°C
HARTING's line of plug-in cable products for the SIMATIC MICRO-DRIVE inverter can be combined with Dunker and ebm-papst drives to create your ideal customised solution.
Partnership-based development of an all-round solution
HARTING supports Siemens in the development of a new generation of frequency converters.
Perfect, efficient solutions can result from joint engineering and combined expertise. The Siemens and HARTING product experts proved this fact in their development of a new generation of frequency converters.
For some twenty years, HARTING has been supplying system solutions for connecting decentralised drive units in intra-logistics. This developed into an intensive partnership between Siemens and HARTING. It is now moving forward with the development of a further series of decentralised drive systems, the SINAMICS G115D from Siemens. The system was developed for horizontal conveyor systems, such as those found in airports or in intra-logistics.
The connector and cabling solutions for inside and outside the device, which transmit data, signals and power, were developed and produced by Siemens and HARTING in different countries. Thus, an internationally active cooperation was established for this project.
The global team of HARTING engineers combined their connector expertise to find a successful solution in cooperation with Siemens and continue the success story between the two companies.
Proven technology combined with innovation
As an evolution of the predecessor models of the SINAMICS G115D, the focus was on factors such as robustness, stability and compactness. The development focused on a new electronics module, additional drive functionality, and the requirement that the unit be designed for energy efficiency.
Inside the device, innovative new connectors from the har-drive® series supplement the tried-and-tested DIN connectors within the frequency converter. These were specially developed in cooperation with Siemens for the requirements of drive systems, and adapted to the compact design of the frequency converter. The focus was on simple, convenient handling as well as safe contact under all mating conditions.
The HARTING Compact® interfaces (Han® Q8 and Han® Q4/2), which have almost become standards, are outside the device. These are supplemented by M12 circular connectors for transmitting signals. Thanks to suitably pre-assembled system cabling, the connections and networking within the conveyor systems readily achieve Plug & Play mode.
