A family-run company

A management transition has taken place from the second to the third generation of the family, in accordance with our vision to remain an independent family business. In October 2015, Philip Harting took over the executive chairman position from his father Dietmar, who is still a board member and focussed on the future and new technologies. Philip Harting now leads the Techology Group together with his mother Margrit, member of the board and partner, his sister Maresa Harting-Hertz, personally liable partner and board member of the Finance and Purchasing department, and other non-family managers.

Founded in 1945, HARTING, being committed to maintaining close proximity to markets and customers, now has 44 sales and 14 production plants globally. HARTING Singapore was established in 1998.

Aside from Singapore being the Headquarter and warehouse, HARTING also has representative offices and business partners in other parts of South-East Asia such as Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam. The South-East Asia market, recognisably Vietnam, is of utmost importance to HARTING. We are commencing our new factory for the rising demand from virtue of the rapid urbanization of South-East Asian nations and strengthen our customer proximity.
