HARTING’s Managing Director Norbert Gemmeke voted “Manager of the Year 2023” in the electrical industry

Norbert Gemmeke, Managing Director of HARTING Electric, can now call himself Manager of the Year. On 25 May 2023, the trade magazine Markt&Technik, published by WEKA Fachmedien, once again chose the top managers in the electronics industry. The winners received their award at the Markt&Technik top meeting in Neufarn near Freising in Bavaria.

“I am very happy about this appreciation for my work. The fields of electrical engineering and electronics play a crucial role when it comes to meeting the megatrends of our time. This holds many opportunities for me to further shape this exciting field and its industrial transformation.” Norbert Gemmeke looks ambitiously to the future. The electrical engineering graduate has been the Managing Director of the HARTING Global Business Unit Electric since 2019. Together with his team, provides the market with innovative and environmentally friendly connectors. “In doing so, we focus on the entire life cycle of our products. From the very beginning, we use resource-saving materials and strive for energy-efficient connections and production processes as well as recyclability,” emphasises Gemmeke.

The titles “Manager of the Year” were awarded for the ninth time. Three managers must share the podium in each sector. Norbert Gemmeke has received his award in the Electromechanics category. In addition, prizes were awarded in the Embedded Systems, Power Semiconductors, Passive Components, Human Resource Management, Sensor Technology and Supply Chain fields. Decisive for being awarded was not only the individual career of the candidate, but also her or his performance in a readers’ poll. More than 7000 “Markt&Technik” readers took part in the vote.
