The Product Carbon Footprint (PCF)

A PCF measures the sum of GHG emissions generated during the life cycle of a product. This enables to focus on the most significant emission sources. E.g., we can optimize logistical routes or replace purchased parts by less carbon intensive ones. With customers also investigating their supply chain, to deliver and improve PCFs becomes increasingly business critical.

Sustainability Controlling

Our current times are characterised by new and more comprehensive requirements for non-financial reporting and the transparency of corporate sustainability performance. The new EU reporting requirements in accordance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the EU taxonomy also present the HARTING Group with new and time-consuming tasks that are not to be underestimated.

How do we help suppliers protect the environment?

In todays globalized business landscape, environmental sustainability has become a pressing concern for companies across varying industries. Beyond focusing on their own ecological footprint, companies are increasingly recognising the importance of monitoring and tracking the environmental performance of their suppliers.

100% transparency in energy requirements

Among many other daily challenges, sustainability guidelines, eco-regulations, carbon footprint performance feature are ongoing topics in production. It is no longer just about what products and how fast a factory delivers, but also about how it produces. The use of green energies, the degree of CO₂-neutrality, the scope of resource-saving processes and closed-loop concepts – to an increasing extent, today’s markets and customers are making their decisions according to these criteria.
