Noticias de Aplicación: Carcasas de fundición de zinc sin revestimiento DIN 41 612 para módulo de control de trenes ITRAC de Bombardie

HARTING has designed a unique coatless zinc die cast housing for the train control module "MITRAC" by Bombardier. The housing is designed for female type F and MH crimp connectors which are fixated in the housing without screws.

The secure EMC protection is achieved through the labyrinth design of the casing shell and the cover. Additionally, a crimp insert is offered, which can be mounted into the cable entry together with all crimp flanges known from InduCom 9 housings. This configuration guarantees the electrical connection to the cable screen and an uninterrupted homogenous shielding.

The housing also offers other unique features for an easy assembly and handling:

All fixing screws for the housing assembly are located on one side of the shell so that no turning of the housing is necessary during the assembly. The captive fixing screws are preassembled, which allows a complete mating before final fixation. The flexible metal blind plate for covering not required cable entries is easy to fix and holds securely in place due to a slight mechanical strain. The binder plate provides for the connection of the screen and the housing and can be secured with a grub screw. Moreover, the design of the housing allows the fixation of the cable within the housing with the standard plastic cable binder, which is cheap and easy to apply.
