DIN 41612 Power connectors

For currents from 6 A to 15 A: DIN Power

DIN 41612 Power connectors with a pitch of 5.08 mm are preferred in applications which require particularly robust plug connections or higher currents from 6 A to 15 A. The requirements pertaining to these IEC 606032 standardised connectors are supported by our wide variety of shell housings and accessories, including full metal versions, which guarantee the necessary robustness and ensure a continuous shield from the cable into the rack. HARTING DIN Power connectors also provide low contact resistance due to their refined contact surfaces.

har-bus®64

har-bus® 64 connectors for VME 64x applications

The har-bus® 64 connectors are designed to be used in VME 64x applications. They are 100% forwards and backwards compatible with DIN 41612 type C. This enables the system to be extended by two more rows without having to rework all daughter cards.

har-bus® 64 in the HARTING eShop

har-bus®64 - The advantages

HARTING has played a key role in the expansion of the VME architecture to 64 bits and data rates of 160 Mbyte/s (VME 64x) with the development of the new backward-compatible connector with 160 contacts.

  • Additional connector contacts for I/O or future functionality
  • Improved signal/ground configuration: thus ensuring signal transmission rates of up to 320 MBytes/s (VME bus), 1.25 Gb/s (Gigabit Ethernet) or 3.125 Gb/s (serial, point-to-point)
  • Live insertion (e.g. cards can be inserted during operations)
  • Standardised according to IEC 610764-113
  • Up to 160 contacts
  • Switch connector for automatic daisy chaining

Backward compatibility

The design of the har-bus® 64 female connector enables five-row and three-row standard male connectors to be connected. Five-row male connectors can also be plugged into three-row female connectors.

This type of backward compatibility allows the user to gradually enter the upper performance class while simultaneously using their existing daughter cards in less technically demanding slots.
